Tender description

The Contracting Authority appointed contractors to provide the following services on a call off basis across specified routes throughout the county of Northumberland: • Snow ploughing; • Snow blowing; • Some precautionary gritting. In addition to specified routes, services may also include snow clearance and treatment of rural roads, housing estate roads, car parks, leisure centres, public buildings etc. The services are split across 45 individual Lots based on geographical area and are across three operational areas of the county. Lot N1: Berwick - Ancroft The Contracting Authority appointed the contractor to provide the following services on a call off basis across specified routes within the Lot in question: • Snow ploughing; • Snow blowing; • Some precautionary gritting. In addition to specified routes, services may also include snow clearance and treatment of rural roads, housing estate roads, car parks, leisure centres, public buildings etc. Lot N2: Duddo - Cornhill The Contracting Authority appointed the contractor to provide the following services on a call off basis across specified routes within the Lot in question: • Snow ploughing; • Snow blowing; • Some precautionary gritting. In addition to specified routes, services may also include snow clearance and treatment of rural roads, housing estate roads, car parks, leisure centres, public buildings etc. Lot N3: Wark The Contracting Authority appointed the contractor to provide the following services on a call off basis across specified routes within the Lot in question: • Snow ploughing; • Snow blowing; • Some precautionary gritting.
