Tender description

Norton College is an 11-19 academy with a comprehensive intake. Approximately 800 pupils attend the College, with pupils being drawn from the town of Norton as well as surrounding villages. In recent years, as a result of raised standards the interest in the College, more students are travelling from the Coast to access a successful School. The College are wishing to appoint one or more suppliers (Contractors) to provide a Home to College / College to Home Transport Services, across 4 separate routes, for those students travelling in from the coastal areas. This appointment for to provide the transport along the Coastal Route will be for a 3-year period, (with an option to extend for a further 2 years) commencing on the 06 September 2022. The Option to Extend will be subject to satisfactory performance of the Contractors.The approximate number of pupils for September 2022 is 240. The current routes include approx. 17 pickup points across the four routes. Lot 1: Route A: Norton College Home to School Transport Services The College are wishing to appoint one Supplier (Contractor) to provide a Home to College Transport Services Lot 1, Route A for an initial three-year period with the option to extend for an additional two-year period from 06 September 2022. The option to Extend will be subject to satisfactory performance of the Contractor.Lot 1: Norton College Bus Route A Route A has approx. 63 students and the following pick up/ drop off points listed below• Scarborough Railway station • Pindar School • Gristhorpe • Hunmanby- Stonegate Garage • Muston - Ship Inn• Sherburn Lot 2: Route B: Norton College Home to School Transport Services The College are wishing to appoint one Supplier (Contractor) to provide a Home to College Transport Services Lot 2, Route B for an initial three-year period with the option to extend for an additional two-year period from 06 September 2022.
