The PMO resource manager will identify and maintain information about the capacity and skills that are available to be allocated to programme and projects. This role will sit in the PMO function to support Programmes and Projects. This individual develops and maintains an organisational set of role and responsibility definitions to help in initiative planning. This role will: • Develop and maintain resource plans • Support the programme and project teams in creating business cases and plans for • Present resource plans to governance boards for approval. • Assign resources to initiatives, projects and programmes • Track actual resources used and compare to projections. Update the resource plan based on this feedback and alert the programme or project manager of significant variances. • Resolve competition for resources by working with programme and team managers to investigate other possible solutions.
