Renewal & Replacement of SAP SuccessFactors

SuccessFactors was first purchased in 2016 as part of a settlement of anSAP audit the previous year.POL was found to be significantly under licensed and the purchase of these extra licenses which was quoted at £2.4M one time + £534k recurring annual costs provided no additional business benefit except to maintain contractual compliance. Following significant negotiations with SAP we agreed to a settlement and POL secured an offer from SAP to significantly reduce our compliance costs and investing in SAP`s SuccessFactors HR Cloud solution. POL currently purchases SAP SF through our software reseller SCC Plc since Apr 2020which has been a compliant procurement route.However, we have been facing operational issues since the last 2 years as SAP stood down our Customer Success Manager as that service is not available for indirect contract. Something SAP failedto disclose. There was an expectation for SCC to fulfil more activitiesthan anticipated as anSAP partner. This has not been possibleas through CCS Frameworks SCC are limited to a 1%margin within the reseller contract. To overcome this,we are now progressing with Direct purchase through G Cloud competition which allows for inclusion of an individualCustomer Success managerto support POL This product operates as a SaaS product supplied direct from SAP. There is little alteration to the terms currently in operation, the service will continueas if renewed.DPA has been updated but remains within the same structural position, that of conforming to EU legislation.However,this will be procured as a G Cloud framework Call-Off termsand therefore will be classed as a new procurement for approvals.The SuccessFactors business owner Helen Rhodes (PeopleSupport Director)has confirmed her approvalfollowing a review of the business requirements.
