Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) - North Yorkshire Council PPE-Uniform procurement for Waste, Fleet and Highways teams.

Tender description

April 1st 2023 will see the creation of a new local authority to cover North Yorkshire. It will be formed by merging North Yorkshire County Council, Selby District Council, Richmondshire, Hambleton, Ryedale, Harrogate and Scarborough. 1.2 All existing services will be delivered by this new authority, this includes; o Waste collection o Street cleansing o Parks and gardens o Vehicle Workshops o Parking o NYCC Highways Inspectors/Officers [Not road/path repairs which is undertaken by NYHighways] o NYCC Integrated Passenger Transport o NYCC countryside staff o Corporate workwear 1.3 The implementation board for the new authority have agreed to seek a new standard for PPE-Uniform, for the above working teams initially. The system may be expanded to include other departments and/or organisations in 2024. New kit will be issued after exhausting existing supplies within each former organisation. No newly branded kit is to be worn prior to April 1st 2023. A new quality offering will be trialled with staff to help shape the new uniform/PPE offering.
