ICR Side-Skirt Prop Bar Modifications

Iarnród Éireann [IÉ] are seeking to enter into an agreement for the services of a specialist company with a demonstrable track record in the fabrication and welding of components for Rolling Stock to facilitate the Prop Bar Design required for its Inter City [ICR] Fleet. IÉ wish to start a replacement programme in which it intends to replace the side skirt rams with a prop bar design on all of the cars within the 22000 ICR Fleet. The current fleet consists of 234no. cars, and an additional 41no. new cars to be added to the fleet in 2022. Please Note: there is a mandatory requirement that applicants must have the following, a Pass/Fail score will apply for all listed requirements: • Applicants must be Accredited to EN 15085 – Classification Level 2, as the identified items are for Rolling Stock and welding will form part of this fabrication requirement.
