Feakle National School Heating Upgrade Emergency Works

Tender description

The scope of the works includes the following: a) De-commission, isolate, drain down, remove and dispose of the redundant oil fired boiler and all associated header pipework and services including the oil storage tank and any remaining heating oil to a licenced waste recycling facility. b) De-commission, Isolate, drain down, remove and dispose of the redundant one pipe heating distribution system and associated services in the original scho to a licenced waste facility. c) Convert the heating system fuel supply to LPG as the fuel source, construction of a new bulk LPG gas tank storage compound and connection of the new gas service to the boiler room. d) Supply and installation of new gas fired condensing boilers in cascade arrangement, flue system and gas safety systems e) Replacement of the heating centre pipe work, valves, actuators, pumps and controls etc with new services to suit the new boiler room layout f) Supply of a new packaged pressurisation unit and expansion vessel and associated controls g) Supply and install a new two pipe heating distribution pipework system and radiators throughout original 1967 school and the Multipurpose Room extension and reconnection of the 2007 extension heating system which is to be retained h) Controls upgrade to provide new two port motorised valves and room thermostats to individual classrooms, circulation areas and office in the upgrade areas to provide independent local control. i) New heating system control panel with all associated controls and BMS and Remote Boost Panel in the Principal’s office together with remote access via smart phone app. j) All associated electrical works including isolations disconnections and strip out and new power and controls cabling run in galvanised steel containment systems to serve the new heating system k) All associated builders works including removal of the boiler and plinth, and clean out of the boiler room and repainting, removal of the oil tank and demolition of the oil tank support walls and making good to th
