Tender description

This tender is for the provision of Greenspace Services across the Borough. The tender is split into Lots as follows: Lot 1 Open Space Mowing Lot 2 Flail Mowing Lot 3 Heavy Plant/Transport Lot 4 Combined lot – Open space mowing, flail mowing and heavy plant & transport Lot 5 Churchyard Mowing – Sawley Lot 6 Herbicide application Lot 7 Sports pitches renovation Contractors may bid for individual or combination of Lots above. However, each lot will be evaluated separately and success in one lot does not guarantee success in another. Lot 1: Lot 1 Open Space Mowing Lot 1 includes the provision of Open space mowing across the Borough. Estimated volumes are as follows: Volume: 820,000 Sq, M Annual cuts: 11 to 15 Lot 2: Lot 2 - Flail Mowing Lot 2 includes the provision of flail mowing including: Side flail mowing - Est. 200,000 Linear Km, 2 cuts per annum Visibility splays - Est. 40,100 Sq M, 3 to 5 cuts per annum Flail hedge cutting - Est. 3,300 Linear Km, 2 cuts per annum Rear flail mowing - Est. 368,200 Sq M, 1 to 2 cuts per annum Lot 3: Lot 3 - Heavy Plant Equipment, Operator and Transport Lot 3 includes the provision of heavy plant with operator. It is estimated that on an annual basis, the Contractor will be required to provide approximately, 300 hours of work. Lot 4: Lot 4 - Combined lot including Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 3 Lot 4 is for delivery of Lots 1, 2, and 3. The specification is as per the individual lot specifications detailed above. Lot 5: Lot 5 - Church Yard Mowing Lot 5 includes specialist mowing at All Saints Church, Tamworth Rd, Sawley, NG10 3AT. The site needs mowing on a monthly basis (7 x per season) Lot 6: Lot 6 - Use of herbicides Lot 6 includes the provision of herbicide application, to include footpaths, pavements and pedestrianised areas across the Borough Estimated volumes are detailed below: Herbicide application - Est. 550 Linear Km Annual applications - 2 to 3 Lot 7: Lot 7 - Sports pitch renovations Lot 7 includes the annual renovation of the Council’s sports pitches. This will include approximately 25 football pitches and 4 rugby pitches.
