North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) are looking to notify the market of this future contract opportunity. NAC welcomes expressions of interest from suppliers, by completing the below questionnaire and returning to murraythompson@north-ayrshire.gov.uk before close of business 21st June 2022. NAC have an Underground Refuse System (URS) located at one of their collection sites. NAC require a supplier to design and fabricate a specialist Unit: ‘lifting and collection equipment’ to enable servicing of containers integrated into an Underground Refuse System. The Unit would potentially be formed of a 40-yard open roll on roll off skip container and a suitable hi-ab and these would be engineered to be used whilst situated on a roll on roll off skip vehicle by an operator. The Unit should include hi-ab lifting equipment with a suitable double hook system, which should be permanently fixed to a skip container to enable servicing and simultaneous collection of material deposited within Continuer, SCV5 URS containers manufactured from galvanised steel and linear high-density polyethylene (LHDPE). The hi-ab equipment should be able to be remotely operated and be enabled to uplift around 2 tonnes. The Unit: container with equipment attached should be able to be moved on and off an existing roll on roll off skip vehicle and not have any of the normal functions impeded.
