Service Required for Young Adult

<p>Service required for one female, 17 years of age Residential who requires either a residential placement specialising in mental health or supported living accommodation with 24/7 staff. What we require? &bull; To open up discussion with providers in County Durham or in the surrounding area to meet the specific needs of an identified young adult &bull; The placement is for one female, aged 17 years of age. &bull; Staffing ratio of 2:1 in residential or 2:1 in supported living with a view to reduce &bull; Provider to support with a transition from an inpatient setting into the community &bull; Provider that has knowledge and experience of working with young adults with complex needs (emotional dysregulation, self-harm, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulty) &bull; Staff will need to be skilled in working with individuals with mental health needs &bull; Individual presents with high-risk behaviours such as: - Impulsivity - Self-harm (headbanging, ligaturing, cutting, secreting items) - Absconding - Suicidal ideation and historic attempts on life - Vulnerability - Emotional dysregulation &bull; Individual enjoys spending time with family, going on dog walks, playing games, playing football, a love for Disney films (Lilo &amp; Stitch) &bull; Individual has some independence in relation to Activities of Daily Living, however, requires prompts around getting dressed, establishing a routine, support to access the community, to build confidence and manage own safety.
