Renewal of software support_AD Instruments Online Teaching Platform

Tender description

Trinity College Dublin proposes to renew a software licence and support agreement with AD instruments. The proposed direct drawdown relates to the “Lt” Online Teaching Platform which underpins an online teaching programme in the School of Medicine. The licence cost for a 5 year package is estimated at €60,000. There are two key factors in the decision to action a direct contract award: (i) Having used Lt for 2 years now, and its predecessors for 10, Trinity requires compatibility with historic data from student submissions to maintain annual comparison of results. (ii) Through previous tender TCD-10-30, Trinity has invested €189,000 in hardware that underpins the online teaching programme. The activation of the 5 year license represents the optimum mechanism to leverage the existing assets which are expected to have a lifetime comparable with the 5 year contract renewal. Vendors who wish to express an interest in proposing an alternative solution, consistent with a budget of €60,000, must respond with their contact details and a one page summary. The expression of interest must reference a similar transition /platform migration solution successfully delivered in the last 3 years.
