CONTRACT AWARDED: Forestry England will be awarding a framework agreement for Ground Preparation in West Forest District. The majority will be brash racking into windrows. In addition, we require brash raking into piles, mulching, site drainage and reinstatement of rutted tracks. The district has been split into 6 lots by geographical location. Lot 1: Marches North & South CONTRACT AWARDED The Commission requires the following to be delivered by the Contractor under this framework: •Preparing forestry restock sites for planting involving the management of brash and harvesting residues. •Installation and maintenance of forest drains including installation of new culvert pipes on extraction routes or tracks •The reinstatement of severely rutted tracks and footpaths following trafficking by heavy machinery (excluding surfaced tracks and trails) •Clearing of blocked culverts and roadside ditches •Conservation works including operations to further heathland restoration including stump removal ·Mulching of invasive species and scrub using a mulching head fitted to a tracked excavator See specification document for full details
