Supply and Delivery of Christmas Trees 2022

Tender description

The Council has an annual requirement for the Supply and Delivery of Christmas Trees. The Christmas Trees are required to be delivered to eight locations within South Lanarkshire throughout November 2022. South Lanarkshire Council awarded a Negotiated Contract to Elveden Farms Ltd. The award of this contract under the Negotiated Tendering Procedure can be justified for the following reason: The supplies can be supplied by only one suitable supplier as competition is absent for technical reasons and no alternative or substitute exists and the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement. The supply market of Christmas Trees has been limited over previous years due to shortages of trees being available which has created an added pressure on the supply chain with each local authority purchasing trees on an annual basis. The commencement date of this contract was May 2022 and will continue until December 2022.
