Direct Award for the Supply & Delivery of Frozen Foods under Scotland Excel Framework Frozen Foods 11-20

South Lanarkshire Council have an ongoing requirement to appoint a suitable supplier for the Supply and Distribution of Frozen Foods on behalf of Community and Enterprise’s Facilities, Waste and Grounds Services. The Council have utilised the Scotland Excel Framework for Frozen Foods (10-16) for several years and the current arrangements on place are for the period 01 July 2017 to 20 June 2019, with the option to extend for a further 33 months. The extension was taken up and there is now a requirement for the renewal of this contract. The renewal of the Scotland Excel Framework for Frozen Foods went live in April 2022 for a period of 4 years to 31 March 2026, with no option to extend. A review of this Framework resulted in our incumbent supplier, Brakes Bros Ltd, being the highest ranked supplier out of all 12 suppliers listed on the Framework The Council’s Procurement Service have identified a suitable and accessible Framework as follows: Scotland Excel Framework (SXL) Frozen Foods (11-20): Lot 1 Frozen Foods Lot 2 Associated Products OJEU Reference Number: 2021/S 000-012426 Framework Period: 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2026 with no option to extend. The call-off contract period is from 30 May 2022 – 29 May 2024 with the option to extend for a further 2 years. South Lanarkshire Council awarded a call-off contract by Direct Award under the Scotland Excel Framework noted in section II.1.4 per the predefined selection procedure under the Framework to Brake Bros Ltd as they were the highest ranked supplier on the Framework Agreement based on Most Economically Advantageous Tender and meeting the Council's requirements. The call-off contract period is from 30 May 2022 - 29 May 2024 with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
