Cost Consultant - Arts Centre Refurbishment Project

Aberystwyth University wishes to appoint a suitably experienced Cost Consultant to join a project team currently being assembled to take forward a major capital investment and refurbishment project centred around the Arts Centre complex on the Penglais Campus in Aberystwyth, West Wales. The scheme will involve various re-modelling to front and back of house facilities, discrete elements of new build, extensive internal refurbishment works, replacement of M&E services throughout, replacement of roof coverings, windows & curtain glazing, improvements to the thermal performance of the building fabric generally and landscaping of the perimeter. The appointment will cover RIBA Stages 2 to 6, subject to incremental commitment as funding progress is made. The estimated construction cost for the project is currently budgeted at around 29m GBP including inflation and contingencies. RIBA Stage 2 and the role of the Cost Consultant is scheduled to start in September 2022.
