Provision of Book Gifting Project For Culture Night 2022

Tender description

The services sought include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following elements: Tenders should propose a methodology which addresses the services required and any other element proposed for the successful delivery of a Book Gifting project for Culture Night in 2022. Devise, propose and deliver a project plan to source and distribute approximately 3,500 books to passengers on Irish Rail and Bus Éireann on Culture Night. Implement the agreed proposed project plan, which will include the follow core elements. a) Curating and sourcing a selection of literary titles by Irish and Irish-based writers and illustrators and from independent Irish literary publishers (approx. 3,500 in total). Literary writing is defined as fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction (e.g. memoir and essays), graphic novels, children’s fiction and poetry, illustrated picture books, literary criticism and contemporary literary biography/autobiography. The selection of titles should be representative of the Arts Council’s remit in literature (English and Irish language) and balanced across genres. The selection should be cognisant of the Arts Council’s EHRD policy and strategy, and should reflect the exceptional quality of literary writing and publishing in Ireland today.
