Training provider in heritage trades for Mauchline Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) This procurement is for the provision of a training provider who will facilitate a programme of training as part of the Mauchline CARS. Mauchline Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme, (CARS) is a 5 year programme, informed by Conservation Accredited Architects, run by East Ayrshire Council, steered and assisted by the community through the Mauchline CARS Steering Group and the Mauchline Community Action Group. The aim of the Training Programme is to: - Deliver a variation of seminars, workshops and courses aimed at providing specialised building trade techniques. - Training events should be delivered at a varied level to cater for contractors, apprentices, building owners and the local community. - Further events should be catered to primary, secondary and further education levels and consider curriculum. - Live training events held for all groups - Potential bidders will be asked to provide courses so they result in offering further education or professional experience for the individuals to explore in their future career paths. Courses sought are of mixed skills all of which are specialised trades including but not limited to: - Traditional masonry & repairs, - Slate roofing and leadwork, - Joinery - Traditional signwriting
