Tender description
The scope of work for the Electrical Upgrade Works project includes as follows:- a) Completion of a detailed survey of existing electrical installations prior to commencement b) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced WEEE waste facility c) Provision of a new FETC Campus Main Distribution Board in Block 5 and relocation of Incoming ESB Supply and Meter from the Staff & Administration Block to a new MDB d) Provision of new containment systems as required to fully contain all new cabling systems e) Replacement of existing Sub Distribution Boards in FETC Block 2 and 3 buildings. f) Provision of a new sub mains distribution cabling system from the new FETC Main Board to the Sub Distribution Boards in Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 5 g) Provision of a new sub main feeder from the existing GRETB Main Board to feed the Staff and Administration Block from the GRETB Distribution System h) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Electrical installations. i) All associated builders and civil works, including trenching and ducting, opening up, making good, weatherproofing & fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes j) Maintenance of the new Electrical installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The appointed electrical contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
