The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) covers South, West, Mid Wales and North Wales. Within this area the service collects voluntary non remunerated blood donations from the general public. The service has specialist facilities such as blood mobiles and purpose built laboratories. The Welsh Blood Service is a division of Velindre NHS Trust.This specification sets out the requirements of the Welsh Blood Service for the Refrigeration requirements of their facilities.The WBS facilities are specialised comprising a number of laboratories, offices, static blood donation and an Apheresis clinic suite specific to the main site at Talbot Green.The intention of this document is to provide a clear, complete and unambiguous statement of the Service Requirements for the implementation of the contract.The following guidelines have been followed during the production of the specification:1.2.1 Each requirement statement is uniquely referenced.1.2.2 Requirement statements are neither duplicated nor contradicted.1.2.3 The Service Requirements expresses requirements and not design solutions.1.2.4 Each requirement is testable.1.3 SitesThis specification documents the User Requirements for the Building Services at the following sites;i) Welsh Blood Service (WBS),Ely Valley Road,Talbot GreenLlantrisantCF72 9WB1.4 Contract RequirementsThe contractor will be responsible for the delivery of the following services:1.4.1 Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)1.4.2 Statutory Compliance1.4.3 Emergency Corrective Maintenance Work1.4.4 24/7 call outs (Re-active maintenance)
