Contract for Maintenance and Environmental Monitoring Support Services

Tender description

Contract services for maintenance and support services for the Met Eireann environmental monitoring station at Valentia Island. Met Éireann’s contributes to Ireland’s Greenhouse Gas and Transboundary Air Pollution Monitoring Network through its commitment to the “European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme” (EMEP), Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS) and GHG emissions and Short Lived Climate Forcers (SLCF) monitoring programmes. Although Ireland is not a member of the programme, Met Éireann’s monitoring site at Valentia Island operates to the requirements for an ICOS Associate Site. The supplier(s) will work with Met Éireann to maintain data quality assurance, on-site maintenance, calibration, data handling and analysis, source apportionment, validation, data processing and analysis, including submission of data to the relevant databases. Lot 1: Lot 1 ACSM Support Lot I relates to the Aerodyne Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor (ACSM) and associated data processing at the Valentia Observatory Bray Head environmental monitoring site. Lot 2: Lot 2 GHG/SLCF Support GHG/SLCF Support and maintenance contract at the Valentia Observatory Bray Head environmental monitoring site.
