Road Passenger Bus Hire - Rural Services North West

Tender description

The Contracting Authority proposes establishing contract(s) for the provision of Road Passenger Bus Hire for Rural Routes based in the North West and manged from Sligo and Ballina Operations. The provision of these services will be for the purpose of supplementing existing bus services. The requirement is for service providers to provide vehicles and drivers for the SPECIFIC UNDER MENTIONED RURAL ROUTES on the days specified. LOT 1 – Route 443 Farragh Cross to Ballina (approximately sixty-eight (68) km per return trip) Friday Only LOT 2 – Route 445 Ballina to Ballycastle (approximately eighty-six (86) km per return trip) Friday Only LOT 3 – Route 468 Strokestown to Carrick-on-Shannon (approximately fifty (50) km per return trip) Mon, Wed & Sat Only (two return trips per day) LOT 4 – Route 469 Sligo to Longford (approximately two hundred and eighteen (218) km per return trip) - Saturday Only LOT 5 – Route 470 Manorhamilton to Dromahair/Manorhamilton to Kiltyclogher (approximately sixty-eight (68) km per return trip) - Friday Only (two return trips per day) LOT 6 – Route 476 Tubbercurry to Ballymote/Tubbercurry to Boyle (approximately one hundred and ninety-six (196) km per day) - Wednesday Only LOT 7 – Route 479 Aclare to Sligo (approximately ninety-eight (98) km per return trip) – Friday Only LOT 8 – Route 452 Louisburgh to Killadoon and return to Louisburgh (approx. 113km per return trip) Friday only LOT 9 – Route 481 Claremorris to Lehnich School and return to Claremorris (approx. 104 km per return trip) Friday only LOT 10 – Route 443 Ballaghderreen to Kilmovee/Lisacul and return to Ballaghderreen (approx. 171 per return trip) Friday only LOT 11 – Route 483 Sligo to Ballyshannon (approx. 96 per return trip) Friday Only. Bus Eireann will define the age and specification of vehicles required for the Services. Routes 469,470 & 479 awarded to Martine Furey. Routes 476 & 443 awarded to O'Hara Coaches. No successful applicant for routes routes 443, 445, 468, 452 & 481.
