Tender description

The service will provide a responsive, fair, and sustainable NHS funded Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) to those registered with a GP in NHS Dorset meeting the Eligibility Criteria as set down by the Department of Health. Dorset CCG is issuing this PIN to invite suppliers to a Market Engagement Event to be held on the morning of Tuesday 17th May 2022 via MS Teams. The purpose of which is to gather market intelligence and information; to gain a better understanding of the capacity and appetite of the market in delivering the proposed services; to establish an appropriate financial model for the service; and to determine a suitable contract length with which to optimise a cost-effective solution. Lot 1: Planned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services The provision of Planned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services. Additional information: The Dorset Procurement Service (DPS) is a distinct and separate section of the University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (UHD) strategic procurement team providing independent procurement services to Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (DCCG). Lot 2: Patient Transport Advice Centre (PTAC) The provision of a Patient Transport Advice Centre. Additional information: The DPS is managing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a Market Engagement Event for Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) on behalf of DCCG. The proposed service falls within the scope of ‘Social and other Specific Services’ set out in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 therefore the Light Touch Regime will apply. Lot 3: Time Critical Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services The provision of Time Critical Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services. Additional information: It is important to note that this PIN is NOT a Call for Competition, and as such potential providers will need to be aware that this market engagement event may inform a further Notice to be published at a later date in regard to the commissioning of this service. Lot 4: Unplanned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services The provision of Unplanned Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services. Additional information: Dorset CCG would welcome responses from organisations who may be interested in attending the Market Engagement Event.
