NHS GG&C ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS’ FRAMEWORK INTRODUCTION & OUTLINE SPECIFICATION BRIEFING NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GG&C) require suitably qualified and experienced electrical contractors to undertake Electrical Contracting through framework agreements for six geographical lots: Lot 1 Glasgow South & South Lanarkshire Lot 2 Partnerships Glasgow Lot 3 Glasgow North & East Dunbartonshire Lot 4 Clyde: West Dunbartonshire Lot 5 Clyde: Renfrewshire Lot 6 Clyde: Inverclyde For further information on the locations of hospital sites, please refer to the following: http://www.nhsggc.org.uk/content/default.asp?page=s760. The key services being sought are planned and routine maintenance works. In addition, from time to time and in spite of controls in place to prevent them, emergency repair and/or maintenance works may also need to be carried out. The successful contractors will be expected to support NHS GG&C through the delivery of a comprehensive and demanding package of services. Work may be procured through this framework by various sections of NHS GG&C’s Estates Departments. These may include but would not be restricted to Asbestos Management, Property Services, IT and various project teams. Various programmes or orders may run concurrently and may involve the contractor liaising with more than one member of one or more Estates departments. The contractor may also work alongside other trades and contractors, which will be arranged in advance by Estates. The total spend for this framework is estimated to be approximately GBP2M per annum, across the 6 lots.
