Design and Construction of Beech Hill Road in-river flood wall on piled foundations

Tender description

The scope of works includes but is not limited to the design, construction, inspection, testing and monitoring, quality assurance, and commissioning of the following: • Reinforced concrete flood wall on piled foundations over the length shown on the Contract drawings, including design and construction of the piled foundations. • Tie in connections to the adjacent flood walls, as shown on the Contract drawings. As-built drawings of the adjacent flood walls will be provided to the appointed Contractor. • All associated temporary works as deemed necessary by the Contractor. • Accommodation works including but not limited to site clearance, traffic diversions, site fencing and security, temporary works for in-river working, support of the adjacent existing walls during construction and provision of temporary flood defences for the construction period. The scope also includes site clearance, demolition, and disposal of any existing structures, unless noted for retention in the Works Requirements. In general, the reinforced concrete flood wall must meet the requirements of the TII Publication Specification for Road Works, the ICE Specification for Piling and Embedded Retaining Walls and the Works Requriements. The contractor must design, execute, and complete the Works in accordance with the Works Requirements. The Contractor must demonstrate to the Employer that all aspects of the Design and construction of the Works are compliant with the Works Requirements. The Contractor will be appointed as PSCS for the Works. Please refer to the attached documents for further information. Please note that this project is subject to funding.
