Tender description

The scope of work for the Electrical Upgrade Works project includes as follows:- a) Completion of a detailed survey of existing installations prior to commencement b) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced WEEE waste facility c) Provision of new containment systems as required to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems d) New Sub Distribution Boards – note existing Main Board and ESB metering to be retained e) New power and general services - note recently upgraded heating system power and controls systems are to be retained f) New energy efficient LED general lighting fixtures and new stage lighting system g) New self-contained LED emergency and escape lighting system to current IS 3217 standard. h) New External Security Lighting System with automatic controls a) New CAT 6A ICT structured wiring systems b) New Public Address and Class Change Bell System c) New Fire Detection & Alarm System to current IS3218 standard d) New security services including access controls, intruder alarm and CCTV systems e) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Electrical Systems a) All associated builders works, protecting existing furniture and fixtures, opening up, coring opes for new services, new external entry doors, making good and re-decoration to match existing finishes b) Full contract clean and sanitising of the school immediately prior to handover a) Maintenance of the new Electrical installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The appointed contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
