Vehicle Routing Software including Waste In-Cabs

Tender description

This project will resolve issues of severe contamination within household recycling collections by splitting the material into different bins and changing householder behaviour through enhanced operational controls and a targeted communications programme. The waste routes in the vehicle routing software will be provided to collection crews on mobile ‘in-cab’ devices and the system will be integrated with customer facing systems Additionally, recycling bins will be fitted with RFID ‘chips’ to improve data collection and operational management. This will allow the daily high volumes of transactions to be managed more effectively (better, faster, cheaper) through enhanced operational controls, fully digitised case flows (e.g. missed bin reports) and effective use of management information and performance monitoring to drive service improvement.
