Technical competency training for SET Project Engineering

Requirement Iarnród Éireann is inviting selected training suppliers to submit detailed proposals for the provision of training for the SET department. The aim of these training courses is to develop the technical proficiency and competency of our Signalling staff responsible for the maintenance, installation, renewal and repair of signalling equipment as well as our track engineering and technical staff so that track designs can be implemented in accordance with governing safety, technical and quality standards. IÉ will support the winning bid by providing: • Guidance on the course content and programme • Provision of speakers and trainers from within IÉ where company specific information is required • Assistance with the organisation of the training Each training session should be highly interactive and involve a number of training methods including discussion, group work, activities and problem solving as well as live training/practical activities where appropriate. The successful bidder must provide all training materials used – notes, copies of slides, overheads etc appropriate to their course. The trainers should have experience in the following : Solid State Interlocking System (SSI) (12 people) Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) (12 people) Signal Works Testing – Module 3BL (2 courses by 6 people in each course) Signal Works Testing – Module 3C Verification Tester (2 courses by 6 people in each course) Cable Maintenance & Testing (12 people) Signal Works Testing – Module 1 (12 People)
