Tender description

We have been working with UNICEF UK since 2019 as we continue our work to become a UNICEF UK Child Friendly City, which means we work to put children, their rights and needs at the heart of all policy and work activity achieved in the city. Children are also included in the decision making processes, and are supported to hold the Leaders in the city to account. An exemption is required as UNICEF UK facilitate and provide training for the City to work towards its accreditation and there is no alternative supplier. This partnership looks set to continue for the next 2-3 years whilst the city moves towards accreditation, and therefore I have sought and attached spend freeze approval email trail. this exemption request will allow us to pay UNICEF UK fees. Previous years fees have been £30,000 per year so I have anticipated a small rise and I seek approval to spend up to £99,000 which will cover the years 2022-2025. Previous exemption refs: DO009998 and DN473819 (which expires on 7th March 2022).
