Rewiring and General Refurbishment works for the British Consulate General in Rio de Janiero

Tender description

The British Consulate General Residence in Rio de Janeiro requires upgrading to wiring to meet UK standards as well as general refurbishments to the property. The works will include the following: - o The identification of all existing circuits and cabling with in the apartment. All cables to have cable markers. o Rewiring and re-organizing of new electrical circuits. All electric circuits, both power and lighting to have an individual earth cable. o The installation of a new distribution board. All out going circuits must have individual overload and fault protection with MCB/RCD protection. o The installation of a main earth cable - from the supply Authorities intake position in the basement. Liaise with the relevant electrical supply authority as necessary. o Installation of local isolation switches on all indoor and outdoor A/C units. o A set of electrical drawings (As Built) should be given on completion of the works. Additional works include: Specialist cleaning of floors and windows, installation of smoke alarms, painting of cabinets, replacements of doors and other general smaller scale refurbishments, social bathroom refurb to turn it accessible for wheel chairs users, woodwork review on all furniture.
