Tender description

Gaining access to quality Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) information, advice and support can be a challenge for parents/carers and young people who may not be familiar with the law or the statutory guidance. North East Lincolnshire Council (The Authority) is commissioning a Provider to fulfil the Local Authority's duties to provide a Special Educational Needs and Disability Information and Advice Support Provider (SENDIASS) as required by the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice 0-25 years Lot 1: The Authority are procuring a provider who will fulfil the Local Authority's duties and provide a SENDIASS in accordance with the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice 0-25 2015 (The Code of Practice). In accordance with the Code of Practice, the Provider will ensure quality information, advice and support is offered to young people aged 16-25 with SEND and to parents/carers within the local area (North East Lincolnshire). Additional information: The contract is for a core term of 3 years with the option to extend the contract by 2 x 12 month periods. The value (£500,000) and duration (60 months) set out above includes the total contract term, including any extension periods available.
