<p>Hartlepool Borough Council is advertising this opportunity on behalf of the owner, who is seeking a Contractor to carry out external repairs and refurbishment to the property. The contractor must have a valid SSIP Accreditation. The project comprises refurbishment and conversion of the former Scarlets Bar/Nightclub into a cafe at ground floor/basement level and student residential accommodation on upper floors accessed via a new main entrance. The project lies in a Conversation Area and is part of the Church Street Improvement Scheme with grant aid from Hartlepool Borough Council. External envelope works includes refurbishment of the shop front and front elevation and other elevational and roof replacement works. An asbestos survey has been undertaken which has identified both notifiable and non-notifiable material. Known asbestos is to be removed as a separate contract prior to these works commencing.
