The authorities of Neath Port Talbot (NPT) and Swansea are jointly seeking suitably qualified and experienced consultants to undertake a comprehensive Local Housing Market Assessment (LHMA) for their administrative areas.The purpose of the commission is to formulate a robustly evidenced LHMA to inform the preparation of both the Swansea and NPT Replacement Local Development Plans (RLDPs), which are at early stages of formation and are being progressed independently by each Council. The LHMA will also inform the preparation of any future Housing Strategy prepared by each Council. The work will be used to feed into the Housing and Economic Growth work which the Councils are jointly commissioning as a separate tender and will feed into the preparation of background evidence, policies and proposals to be formulated for the first South West Wales Strategic Development Plan (SDP).NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
