Tender description
This notice gives prior information of a forthcoming procurement process that will establish a successor framework to the existing Southern Construction Framework (SCF4). The Southern Construction Framework supports construction projects and is available (but not limited) to all public sector clients across South West England, South East England and London. The framework and its predecessors have delivered in excess of £7,000,000,000 of construction work since 2006. Contractors are invited to join an online Supplier Information Event on 10 June 2022 commencing at 10:30hrs. For the avoidance of doubt, the framework capped value of £4.5bn is intended to allow for exceptional circumstances without the need to re-procure the framework prematurely, for business planning purposes contractors should anticipate a target workload of 50% of the published maximum figures. Lot 1: South West England This framework will be open to all public sector organisations in South West England for construction works over £4,000,000 in value. By exception the scope may include projects under £4,000,000. Typical projects will comprise construction of / alterations to schools, college and university buildings, leisure buildings, fire and police buildings, civic offices and facilities, health facilities, charity sector buildings and local government buildings. The scope may include incidental project related civils works, for example access roads, car parks, multi storey car parks, retaining structures; and ancillary projects to a development. The contract model will be 2 stage open book to allow collaborative working and early contractor involvement. The overall spend over the 4 year period commencing 27 April 2023 is estimated to be up to a maximum of £1,100,000,000 It is anticipated there will be up to 10 contractors in this Lot. Typical projects will comprise construction of / alterations to schools, college and university buildings, leisure buildings, fire and police buildings, civic offices and facilities, health facilities, charity sector buildings and local government buildings. The scope may include incidental project related civils works, for example access roads, car parks, multi storey car parks, retaining structures; and ancillary projects to a development. The contract model will be 2 stage open book to allow collaborative working and early contractor involvement. The overall spend over the 4 year period commencing 27 April 2023 is estimated to be up to a maximum of £400,000,000. It is proposed this Lot 4 will be split into 2 geographical regions across SW England. Indicative Lots: 4A - Cornwall, Plymouth, Devon, Torbay and Somerset 4B - Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Swindon, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath NE Somerset, N Somerset, Bournemouth and Poole. It is anticipated there will be up to 6 contractors per Lot (region).
