Physical Exercise Sessions for men over the age of 40

he service provider will deliver football sessions for varying levels of ability, for adult men aged 40 and above, targeting areas of deprivation. The work aims to reduce health inequalities that exist in Wirral’s most deprived boroughs, by reducing health consequences resulting from physical inactivity. The service will contribute towards the following outcomes: • Decrease in health inequalities linked to poor physical and mental health. • Improved mental health and body image, resulting from poor physical health/lack of physical exercise • Preventing long-term physical health complications resulting from lack of physical exercise • Better education for males around physical activity and health related matters. • Communities and individuals feel more supported in the recovery from the effects of COVID-19, particularly loneliness and isolation.
