NHS Southport & Formby CCG and NHS South Sefton CCG - Sefton Bladder & Bowel Prescription Service This is a contract award notice published by NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU), who are working on behalf of NHS Southport & Formby CCG and NHS South Sefton CCG who have procured the Sefton Bladder & Bowel Prescription service for patients living in the CCG areas. The aim of the service is to significantly improve the quality of care and support for around 1483 stoma and 1881 catheter patients in the CCG areas. The Sefton Bladder& Bowel Prescription Service will provide a centralised prescription service for patients requiring bladder and bowel appliances and associated products. Additionally, service will give patients access to advice from specialist nurses and an individualised care review to ensure they are always prescribed the best products for their differing needs. There will be an initial contract period of 3 years commencing on 1st May 2022; and there will be the option to extend for a further 1-year period from 1st May 2025. This is a £0-based contract and the CCGs envisage there not being a cost associated with the provision of the service. However, during the term of the contract, the CCG may establish a gain share arrangement and further information regarding the gain share arrangement was available in the tender documentation.
