Highway Maintenance 2021 - To Include Minor Work and Annual Resurfacing Support (Plant & Labour)

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (The Contracting Authority) has appointed suitably qualified and experienced contractors to the framework agreement for Highway Maintenance as detailed in the Contract documents and upon the terms and conditions contained in the Conditions of Contract. Lot 1: Patching & mason work The hire of general highway civils team, which can include concreting, laying kerbs, drainage, paving, resurfacing, and to be an asset to the Highway Services team. Lot 2: Highway resurfacing surface preparation labour The hire of road preparation team to work in conjunction with asphalt planer, works will consist of kerbing adjusting ironwork, laying of asphalt and preparing site for asphalt paver team works to comply with standard specification of highway & levels agreed with site engineer. Lot 3: Highway resurfacing plant & labour The hire of road surfacing team to work in conjunction with asphalt paver, surfacing team, tools and transport to also be included in price, material to be laid in accordance with the requirements of BS 594987 and associated codes of practice. The hire of an Asphalt Paver with Screwman and Driver including ancillary surfacing equipment. Lot 4: Traffic Management The provision of traffic management services on sites under the scheme. Lot 5: Highway resurfacing Planer works Provision of planer package to carry out planing works up to a depth of 300mm. Each package is to allow for one lorry and sweeper as noted. Lot 6: Highway resurfacing - Tanker & emulsion The hire of a lorry with hot spray emulsion (Colbond 50) to provide adhesive bond between existing road pavement and a new surfacing.
