Clerk of Works (Enhanced)

Tender description

A Clerk of Works is required to oversee, coordinate and ASSIST in the delivery of ecological enhancements (primarily riparian tree planting) within the Dyfi catchment, as part of the Welsh Government/ERDF(ENRaW) funded Dyfi Catchment Natural Restoration Project (Apr 2021 - Mar 2023). This work will involve:1. Undertaking landowner liaison and negotiation to agree planting plans.2. Ordering, storing/arranging delivery of trees to be planted and other materials as required.3. Recruiting and overseeing suitable local contractors to undertake tree planting and fencing; leading and using volunteers to assist in the work where appropriate.4. Recruiting and managing volunteers, keeping accurate records of individuals, days and times.5. Arranging training of volunteers and arranging the awarding of Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) certificates to eligible volunteers.6. Obtaining all necessary consents from statutory bodies (such as NRW and local authorities) to undertake the work.7. Delivering site works as appropriate and where required to ensure project targets are reached.
