Tender description

The GMC stores approximately 36 500 cubic feet of material off site and currently retrieves approximately 290 boxes or files per month. On average over 30 new boxes of material indexed at file level are sent off site per month. The GMC Records team is based in our Hardman Street offices in Manchester city centre. There is a requirement for two deliveries and one collection of material on a daily basis to the Hardman Street office, plus the option for a rapid delivery service within two hours of receipt of the request for material which is urgently required. The GMC has offices in London, Cardiff, Belfast and Edinburgh but any requests for these sites are delivered via the GMC’s internal mail system from the Manchester office due to lower volume. The security of the transfer and storage of files is of primary concern to the GMC.
