Tender description

Ervia have a requirement for licencing, hosting, support and maintenance for the mobile survey application solution previously developed by Trimble Europe B.V. In 2016, Ervia (on behalf of Gas Networks Ireland and Irish Water) completed a competitive tender process Ref 16/076 for a mobile survey application solution to be used by Gas Networks Ireland and Irish Water. The contract was awarded to Lakefield ETechnologies (a subsidiary of Trimble Europe B.V.). This contract was extended for 1 year in April 2020.The Trimble Europe B.V. solution ‘Trimble Unity’ is utilised to manage, execute and perform result analysis of site surveys. The application also provides a flexible surveying capability in Irish Water and Gas Networks Ireland. The flexibility ensures new integrated surveys can be created with minimal development on the Trimble solution. The exisiting contract with Lakeview ETechnologies (t/a Trimble) expires in April 2021. Ervia (on behalf of Gas Networks Ireland and Irish Water) now have a requirement for licencing, support and maintenance for the mobile survey application solution for a further period of 9 months. In circumstances where Trimble Eurpoe B.V.have exclusive rights including intellectual property rights and are the only provider of these requirements for the Trimble Unity Solution, Ervia intends to award this contract for licencing, hosting, support and maintenance for the existing Trimble Unity solution (which utilises a bespoke Trimble software) for a period of 9 months.The award is to the parent company, Trimble Europe B.V. rather than the susbsidiary Lakeview ETechnologies (t/a Trimble).
