<p>The national DER Industrialisation Centres proposal was submitted in December 2019 and was awarded to Newcastle University who received a Conditional Offer Letter in February 2020 with the project deemed to start from March 2020. The initial phase of the national DER Industrialisation Centres project will focus on preparation of the regional DER Industrialisation Centre office and workshop facilities, and implementation of an early revenue generation plan. This will involve business development and project planning activity to quickly leverage e.g. DER-IC North East capability and the PEMD Industry, Academic and Research partner relationships developed during the national DER Industrialisation Centres proposal to provide early R&amp;D project opportunities. There is an immediate need for consultancy support of early DER-IC North East R&amp;D project proposal writing.
