Millport Coastal Flood Protection Scheme - Landscape Architect Services

Landscape Architect Services on Millport, Isle of Cumbrae North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) requires a landscape design consultant who must work in conjunction with our lead consultant, Royal HaskoningDHV, to develop the landscape design through RIBA stages 3 and 4, taking into account planning conditions. Deliverables and allowances for stages 3 and 4 are outlined in the scope of services and the objective is to achieve a package suitable for tender. The appointed consultant must make an allowance for two public consultation events and preconstruction consultation as outlined in the scope of services. The appointed designer must make an allowance for deliverables in line with RIBA stages 5 and 6 and provide a scope of works and cost for review. The submitted price should be based upon the assumptions/exclusions held within the scope of services for stages 5 and 6. The award will be based upon the most economically advantageous bid for stages 3, 4 5 and 6 and consultation based upon the deliverables and allowances outlined in the scope of services. Only the price for stages 3 and 4 and consultation will be fixed. As the final scope for stages 5 and 6 is unknown, the price submitted will be regarded as a provisional sum with any variations priced using the submitted rates. NAC reserves the right to end the contract upon completion of stage 4, and the consultant will be notified accordingly. RIBA stages 3 and 4 are anticipated to start in January 2021 with a 9-month duration to September 2021 with stages 5/6 estimated to extend for an 18-month period starting in March 2022 until September 2023.
