Engineering and Asset Management (E&AM) Department The E&AM department is part of the Railway Planning and Performance directorate. The department remit covers assessment of submissions for Interoperability Authorisation, holding Network Rail to account, undertaking assurance reviews and providing expert knowledge and skills to support other departments within ORR. The department is multi-disciplined and encompasses the following disciplines; Interoperability and Rail Vehicle Engineering, Train Control Systems, Civil Engineering, Asset Management and Enhancements.
