Detached Play and Youth Worker Offer (DPYWO)

This DPS has been migrated from the Proactis YORtender Portal where it's individual reference was DN481992. The DPS originally commenced on 20/07/2020. Following a successful pilot in 2019 of Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) and local authority co-delivered Detached Play and Youth Work (the “Services”), Kirklees Council (the “Council”) is establishing a network of approved Providers (the “Partners”) who we can call on to work alongside teams delivering Play and Youth Work in detached settings. The Council aims to work with Partners to engage groups of Children and Young People in informal settings, including the street, parks, open spaces, industrial estates and housing estates, engaging with those who are not involved with other Play and Youth Work provision. It is an important strand of work to support Children and Young People who may otherwise be exposed to risk and exploitation. The Council intends to establish a DPYWO in order to identify and work with approved Partners to deliver youth work in detached settings (the “Services”). This DPYWO will allow Applicants to become eligible to provide the Services alongside the Council. The DPYWO is anticipated to commence on 20th July 2020 for an estimated period of four (4) years.
