EirGrid Group operates and develops the electricity system in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This comprises the grid, the wholesale electricity market and interconnection with other systems. In both jurisdictions, we implement and enable government policies on electricity. We perform our services for the benefit of every electricity user on the island of Ireland. We are monopoly service providers, regulated by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) in Ireland and the Utility Regulator (UR) in Northern Ireland. The CRU and UR are responsible for the economic regulation of energy, protecting the interests of energy customers, ensuring security of energy supply and facilitating the provision of a low carbon future, in Ireland and Northern Ireland respectively. EirGrid has a requirement for consultancy services related to regulatory matters. This process is now complete. EirGrid has a requirement for consultancy services related to regulatory matters.The Scope of Requirements is expected to include, but is not limited to, Consultancy services for all EirGrid Group Companies, including SONI, related to the following: • Connection Charging Policy • Connection Policy • Price Control Development and Implementation (SEMO, SEMOpx and EirGrid and SONI as TSO’s) • Regulatory Reporting • Regulatory Policy • Revenues and Tariffing (including Tariff Structures and Methodology) • Licence Modification and Implementation • Regulatory Authority Consultations • Regulatory Compliance • Regulatory Disputes. Provision of economic/strategic/other guidance re regulatory matters (including interconnection).
