NSSCOVID-19 -336 National Vaccination Scheduling Operations Support

Tender description

NSS was commissioned by Scottish Government to deliver the vaccination solution for citizens in Scotland to be able to view appointments, schedule and reschedule appointments. The Scottish Government request for accelerated rollout of vaccinations means that there is now insufficient capacity within the team to resource all demand. As a consequence, team members are working excessive hours, including evenings and weekends in attempt to cover. There was an immediate need to have additional operational support to be able to support the immediate vaccination rollout programme. Lot 1: This is a directly awarded contract between the Authority on behalf of NHS Scotland to meet the additional demands of the Scottish Health and Social Care sector during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This award has been approved for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority in line with Regulation 33(1)(c) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015
