Letterkenny Cathedral Oneway and associated minor works 2021

Tender description

The proposal includes introduction of a One Way System onto three roads inside the Municipal District Boundary of Letterkenny to improve traffic management, increase footpath width, provide new footpaths and to regulate and create more on street parking. The project will include: a) New Footpath, Road and Junction Layouts and widening of existing footpaths to be built in accordance with DMURS & TII Standards. b) New Signage on the three roads to ensure that the local resident and tourist alike fully understand the new road layout. c) New Road makings to match the new signage to allow vehicles and pedestrians move safely through the new layout. d) Inlay of existing road surface. The proposal introduces a clockwise, one-way gyratory system to improve traffic movement on the Cathedral Road / Convent Road – College Row / Sentry Hill Road, improve local traffic management and provide pedestrian / cycle crossing facilities
