Tender description

The scope of work for the Lighting Upgrade Emergency Works project includes as follows:- a) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced WEEE waste recycling facility b) Alterations to containment systems as required to fully contain all alterations to wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained and adjusted where necessary c) Replacement of all general lighting fixtures with new energy efficient LED units throughout the school d) Replacement of all external lighting with new LED lanterns e) Additional self-contained emergency lighting fittings to achieve compliance with the IS 3217:2013+A1 2017 standard with regard to points of emphasis . f) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations g) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Lighting Systems and associated electrical installations h) All associated builders works, opening up, making good fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes i) Full contract clean and sanitising of the entire school building immediately prior to handover j) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The appointed contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Lighting Systems and Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
