Tender description

A call-off from the Generation 4-ONE 2020 - 2024 Civil Engineering, Highways and Transportation Collaborative Framework (Published 4 May 2020). The project involves converting the crossroad layout junction to a 4m diameter mini-roundabout and the associated carriageway widening works at North Lane / North Close. A gully on the Give Way line on North Close will be removed and filled. The carriageway will be reprofiled around the proposed new roundabout in order to improve drainage. The carriageway on North Lane on both sides of the junction will be resurfaced from the binder course level and a new pavement reinforcement grid will be added. Full carriageway resurfacing works will extend to 52m north and south of the new roundabout on New Lane. The resurfacing will also extend 19m into North Close and 20m on Lower Newport Road.
