Provision of School Transport Services - Taxi Services County Cork (West)

Tender description

BE proposes awarding a contract for the provision of school transport services under the Primary School Transport Scheme and the Post Primary School Transport Scheme to school centres in the west of County Cork in respect of three Operating Boards. At the invitation to tender stage of this procurement process, successful applicants will be asked to select the Operating Board or Operating Boards for which the applicant wishes to be considered. Applicants will be permitted to select one or more of the Operating Boards. BE proposes awarding a contract for five years. The vehicle type required for each Operating Board is a taxi (i.e. a vehicle with up to 8 Adult Seats). Vehicle(s) operating school transport services must be no older than 20 years and must be fitted with appropriate seatbelts. Vehicles operating school transport services must be kept within the 20 year age limit. Failure by a service provider to adhere to this requirement will result in contract termination. Any vehicle proposed by an applicant or potential service provider which is older than 20 years or does not have appropriate seatbelts will not be considered under this procurement process.
