Market Consultation for Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) Service Provision

The aim of this market consultation is to assist Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) in identifying key aspects essential to the successful implementation and delivery of a High Speed Weigh-In-Motion network across the national road network included but not limited to: • The challenges, opportunities, blockers and drivers of installing, operating and maintaining a High Speed Weigh in Motion (WIM) system; • Understanding real life examples of WIM systems that have been successfully deployed to date; • Understanding how a WIM system’s performance is managed in terms of reliability and calibration requirements; • Visibility, Trustworthiness and dependencies of data driven insights from WIM; and • Contractually managing the WIM system and data driven performance options that have been used to date. Lot 1: This Prior Information Notice is to inform the market that Transport Infrastructure Ireland is undertaking preliminary market consultations as outlined under Article 40 of Directive 2014/24/EU. TII is looking to identify key aspects essential to the successful implementation and delivery of a High Speed Weigh-In-Motion network across the national road network. It is hoped that parties will provide constructive feedback and which will help inform TII's potential procurement and delivery. Interested parties are requested to complete the Market Consultation Process – Reply Form (Appendix A) section of the accompanying TII301 Market Consultation Document. The completed document is to be returned via the e-tenders messaging portal by 12 noon on Tuesday the 26th October. Participants in the market consultation may be invited to provide further information at TII's sole discretion.
